Veggie Burgers and Watermelon Salad

Sundays are fun days! Time to regroup, refresh, and renew.
Today, in classic summer fashion, we are grilling—my favorite. Getting the charcoal stoked to the right temperature and letting the grill work its magic. We have a Kamado-style grill that cooks evenly and holds the heat very well.
On the menu:
Housemade veggie burgers and watermelon salad.
I mixed the burgers with shitake mushrooms, bellas, walnuts, and brown rice.
Tamari and vegan Worcestershire sauce to bring out those umami flavors.
On to the salad. Fresh watermelon, red onion, English cucumber, fresh lime, EVOO, and a little garlic. We added some vegan feta, diced avocado, and basil. You can also substitute the basil with mint. Either way, it's a winning combo.
