Good Town Doughnuts

OK, let's be honest, who doesn't love a good doughnut?

Kristin and I are always on the search for good food.

Yesterday we went to a place called the Good Town Doughnuts in Costa Mesa.

The folks were lovely. Cheery and warm, their space was a throwback to the 1970s, reminiscent of a meeting between Evil Knievel and a peacenik. Perfect.

We picked up the sampler mini donut box and had to try their cinnamon roll. I must say that the glazes on the donuts were all very fresh and bright, with fresh fruit tucked into the center. Raspberry pistachio, matcha, chocolate glaze, blackberry, pineapple, lemon poppy. Perfect to taste and sample.

Then we happened to run into a couple of our customers, serendipitously, Deborah and Alex. Great folks. Afterwards, thinking about seeing them like that, I felt grateful for this beautiful world we live in, just happenstance... so cool.
